SACRAMENTO, Calif. (May 26, 2023) – Today, the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project (CLYLP), a nonprofit that builds the leadership capacity of California’s youth, announced a search for an Executive Director. This marks a new era for CLYLP, which recently received a historic one-million-dollar investment from the State of California, allowing the organization to hire full-time staff and expand its reach into the Inland Empire with a fifth leadership program.
“We are immensely grateful to the countless number of volunteers, partners, and funders who have supported and sustained our work as a volunteer-led organization for over 40 years,” said CLYLP President Leonard Sánchez. “We have grown tremendously during this time, from a small team in 1983 to a vast network across California with hundreds of volunteer leaders.”
The board of directors seeks a leader to join the CLYLP team, advance the organization’s reach and impact, and successfully promote CLYLP’s goals and objectives to drive the organization to new heights. The ideal candidate should be passionate about CLYLP’s mission and be committed to meaningfully strengthen the organization’s existing network while building new partnerships.
If you are a dynamic leader with a track record of success in nonprofit leadership, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people in California. Over 7,000 students have benefited from CLYLP’s high school and alumni programs, and the organization is excited about serving more youth and communities in the future.
